Final Fantasy VII Remake is not the full game. It is Midgar only, which coincidentally, is my favorite part. And when I say Midgar only, I mean, it includes the Sectors, like Sector 7 Slums, which includes Seventh Heaven, the Mako Reactors, Sector 5 Slums, where the church is, and where Aerith's house is, the Train Graveyard, Wall Market, Corneo's Mansion, and the Shinra building.
How long is Midgar in the original game? That would depend on a few things, but I would say it's around 5 to 6 hours long. And the Remake, for me, took about 50 hours for each play through. I've played it through at least four times. It's the first and only game I've platinumed, ever. And I even completed the Play Log. Yay me. I think it's probably going to end up being three or four parts.
Essentially, what they did is they took around the first 5 or 6 hours of the original game, and they expanded it into around a 50 hour experience, as the Remake, Part 1. They did call it Remake, and a lot of people think they should call it Remake Part 1, or something to that effect. Didn't really bother me, but I know it bothered a lot of people. Or Final Fantasy VII Remake Midgar, which would have made sense.
Is Final Fantasy VII Remake the full game? No. But, is Final Fantasy VII Remake a full game? I would say so. Like I said, for me, it was a full 50 hour experience, each play through, and I've played it quite a few times at this point, and I really love it. I've been enjoying it a lot. It's been probably my top gaming experience of all time. But if you've been on my channel, you know it's just because it helped me out at a pretty dark place at the beginning of this year. So I'm biased. I'm also a huge Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy VII fan.
Here's my question for you: What are you most excited for for part 2 of Final Fantasy VII Remake? Let me know down in the comments. I might say the Gold Saucer. I'm really interested in how they'll create that world in the next part of the Remake.
