Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 vs Final Fantasy XVI. Which game do you want first?
Let's get odd. So as of yet, neither has a release date. Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 has the benefit of having assets from Part 1, but not much else is really known. There was a little bit of recent news regarding motion capture actors for Aerith and Sephiroth, which just kind of confirmed what we already know: that they're currently working on the next installment of the game.
When the trailer dropped for Final Fantasy XVI, it was revealed that the game has already been in development for four years. A few months ago, according to a new recruitment page for Final Fantasy XVI on Square Enix's career website, it was revealed that basic development and scenario production for Final Fantasy XVI have already been complete.
So to answer my original question, which I also want to ask of you, is which game do you want first: Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 or Final Fantasy XVI? As for me, it's Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2, hands down. I actually ended up playing Final Fantasy VII Remake before playing Final Fantasy XV. I always look forward to the next big Final Fantasy game, but Final Fantasy VII--it's carrying, at this point, 24 years of nostalgia and anticipation, and we're extremely attached to the characters after all these years. Also taking into consideration that the story has been expanded into the compilation of Final Fantasy VII.
So I'd like to know from you: Which game are you anticipating more?
