Hello everyone; this video is a short update regarding the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra Concert. We got Nomura'd. No news, unfortunately, but we'll get to that. Let's get odd.
Were you able to tune into the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra Concert? I was not able to, as it was a Japan-only event. The concert was 2 hours and 16 minutes. I was, however, able to view the first 12 minutes and 50 seconds, after which, a message comes up saying that you have to pay to see the rest of the concert. But I was able to watch the first two tracks for free. So I was able to watch the Prelude and the Opening Bombing Mission.
Audrey live tweeted the whole event. Her account is @aitaikimochi. She was making note of all the footage that they were showing on the big screen. She did make an interesting comment about cutting between the screen and the musicians, how sometimes you're able to see what's happening on the big screen, but sometimes they would close up on the musicians, which is cool, but when they do that, you're unable to see what's happening on the big screen.
And now the big event--what we've been waiting for... The breaking news... So they start talking about--merchandise? A Cloud sword? A music box? So yeah, we did get Nomura'd. There weren't any news during the event regarding Final Fantasy VII Remake coming to the PS5 or PC or anything like that. I do wonder if Tetsuya Nomura and the developers at Square Enix think that it's funny how they kind of teased that there was going to be some news, and everyone was anticipating that there was going to be news, and then all of a sudden, they start talking about merchandise. Here's my official message to Tetsuya Nomura and the developers at Square Enix, because I'm sure they're watching this. Honestly, yeah it's kind of funny. You got me there.
So I actually wasn't able to catch the live tweeting that Audrey did during the event, but I did catch some of her live stream on Twitch earlier today, and she was trying to help people who were perhaps interested in purchasing access to the concert on nicovideo. I urge you to check out her accounts on twitter and Twitch. I will link to them below. It was my first time catching her livestream. So there's a Final Fantasy VII Remake Concert event going on, which is Japan-only, which is also kind of weird because Final Fantasy VII Remake and the franchise has a global appeal. There's no one translating, so she kind of took it upon herself to do the translations, just for fun, but she's helping a lot of people, so I urge you to check her accounts if you're interested in that kind of stuff.
So unfortunately, we did get Nomura'd. There wasn't any news during the event, but here's my take on that. I think we should just be patient for now and just enjoy the hype, and enjoy the anticipation. I am an old man, but at the same time, I'm feeling like a little kid excited for this game, and any sort of news that's coming in the upcoming months, and I don't get excited a lot anymore, but my point is I think we should just enjoy this time, where we get to be excited together, talking about speculations, and anticipation, and theories, and predictions. It's a fun time; it's a great time for gaming, and I'm glad we get to experience this excitement together, as you can tell by my monotone voice.
So here's my question for you: When do you think they will make announcements regarding PS5 or PC ports? --Because I read some comments that some people were saying April 10th--maybe they're legally obligated to refrain from making any announcements prior to April 10th because of the timed exclusivity on the PS4, but then I read other comments saying, well, everyone knows that it's a timed exclusive until April 10th, so there should be some sort of announcements by now, or people are expecting it. So let me know your thoughts in the comments.
I'm actually currently working on a video. I hope to have it completed and posted by Monday morning, like 5:30 Pacific Time. The tentative title is Final Fantasy VII and Death. It's kind of morbid, and it's spoiler heavy, but I worked on the script for it this morning, and I'm excited to put it together. So I'm really looking forward to putting that out. I hope you'll be able to watch it and enjoy it. Thanks for watching and subscribe if you liked this video and you want to see more Final Fantasy VII Remake content.
Stay odd, and keep on playing.
